Rabbi Richard Camras

Rabbi Richard Camras is currently co-Senior Rabbi of Hamakom, a recent merger of Temple Aliyah and Shomrei Torah where he served previously for 25 years. Prior to Shomrei Torah, he served as Associate Rabbi at Chizuk Amuno in Baltimore MD for seven years.

Rabbi Camras founded the Conejo West Valley Florence Melton Adult Mini-School in 2007 and proudly sits on the Melton Rabbinic Advisory Board.  He is a Distinguished Lecturer in Rabbinic Studies at the Zeigler school of Rabbinic Studies where he has taught for 26 years.  He is a former President of the Pacific Southwest Regional Rabbinical Assembly board and serves as President of the American Friends of the Abayudaya.
